Role Overview

We are looking for an Account Executive with a strong background in software sales within the technology sector. The ideal candidate will excel in selling Capstone IT Solutions’ services, including application modernization, cloud migration, and MSP solutions, to top technology and business professionals. This role requires a strategic approach to sales, with a focus on solutions selling and building long-term customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of application modernization, cloud migration, and MSP solutions, particularly CaaS+.
  • Provide detailed explanations and benefits of our technology advisory services, including conducting proof of concept for cloud technologies, migration strategies, and the development of minimum viable products.
  • Explain and promote the advantages of containerization to prospects, showcasing how containers can enhance application development, deployment, and scalability.
  • Clearly articulate “lift and shift” migration strategies, helping prospects understand how their existing applications and workloads can be moved to the cloud with minimal modifications, thereby optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to stay informed on the latest technology trends and services, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is communicated to prospects.
  • Engage with senior technology and business professionals, leveraging our partnerships with AWS and VMware.
  • Craft and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer needs, aligning our services to their IT and business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive strategy from sales to service delivery.


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage in high-level discussions with key IT and business leadership, effectively explaining complex technical concepts.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of cloud migration, containers, and lift and shift strategies, with the ability to convey these concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex business environments and build consensus around the services being sold, demonstrating a strategic understanding of client needs and solutions alignment.
  • Experience in discussing budgets and scope with clients, adept at navigating financial discussions to close deals while ensuring alignment with client objectives and project parameters.
  • Demonstrated success in technology sales, with a focus on software and MSP solutions.
  • Proficient in solution selling with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, VMware, and cloud services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
